MOGR: Work Your Goal, Don’t be Lazy
By Steve | March 1, 2008
Like it or not, you need to work your goals in order to be rich. Many people are too lazy to be wealthy. They only say they want to be wealthy but are not willing to put in the work.
You Can Be Lucky and Rich. And Loose All At The End.
Lucky people do find fame and fortune when they have not sought it actively. Yes, money does grow on trees, and many do win lotteries and get inheritance from their parents. However, based on my studies, these are not where majority of the people get their riches from. The reality is that many examples have proven that those who got their wealth from lotteries stay wealthy only for a while, primarily because they do not have the level of competence to manage wealth. In a very short time, they lose all they have gained from lotteries and return to having nothing.
The Definition of Wealth
According to Roger Hamilton’s Wealth Dynamics, there is a wealth paradox - and that paradox talks about how much wealth you can have when you lose all your money. Click this to see and hear him speak.
Many aren’t prepared to make sacrifices to be rich. They aren’t prepared to study hard, to learn from the rich, and to put in effort, determination, and focus to work on their goals.
It is GOOD To Want To Be Rich
Some even think that “wanting to be rich” is evil. But according to Wallace D. Wattles, the author of Science of Getting Rich, wanting to be rich is actually a good thing. Let me quote a portion of what he said in his century-old book: “WHATEVER may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent, he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.’ In fact, it is the universe’s wish that we get abundance. Money buys you the position to give and do things that otherwise you can’t do.
Extremely wealthy people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, or Richard Branson, all have one thing in common. They work their socks off and they can do more in a day than what we ordinary people can do in a month. Wealth is for everyone, and wealth is waiting for us to claim it. I have observed that those who are willing to claim wealth will wake up early, work hard, and focus on getting things done. Such kinds of persons have the energy level that deserves my admiration.
