MOGR: Turn Your Back on Money and Wealth Myths

Some of us grew up with the wrong money and wealth concepts. Some think wanting to get rich is not a good goal; that money is evil and dirty; and that rich people cannot get to heaven and other such misconceptions.
I’ve even heard comments like, “I won’t be rich; if I would, I should be rich by now.” The trouble is we had been educated by the religious that being poor is ‘holy’ and we should be contented with what we have. Many prejudiced people do not want to be associated with ‘greedy, ruthless, money-hungry people,’ etc., and they would rather be working for ‘just enough.’
The fact is, the rich people I know do not have issues with myths of wealth, like the poor do. They have already purged them, and their minds have clear concepts about money. We all can do the same, too. We can rethink our regard for money. Money is good and OK. Wanting money can be a noble thought. It is good to want to have more money. The universe wants us to be rich. I myself have decided I am going to be wealthy and I am prepared to put in the work.
If you work hard at making money, you stand a better chance to be rich. The harder and smarter you work, the more you will earn. Wealth is therefore not a reward; it is a consequence.
See wealth and money as a friend and not an enemy. I benefited a lot after studying the subject of wealth and entrepreneurship. Having lots of money won’t lessen your spiritual values or your chances of getting close to God. In fact, with money, you get more things done and you need money to be able to give money and help more. Therefore, it is important you must know what you want money for.
